The Children's Health Clinic at ADA opened on April 2, 2016, thanks to the wonderful generosity of ADAF Board member Oliver Moses and his wife, Alexis Moses, who have underwritten the Clinic's construction expenses and its operating costs since its inception.
Located within walking distance of the school, CHC-ADA's staff of 17, including registered nurses and a presiding doctor, treats both ADA students and local children from birth to age six. It is only the second children's health clinic in all of Liberia and the first free children's health clinic in the country.
In its first two weeks alone CHC-ADA served over 800 patients. The importance of this clinic cannot be overstated. In Liberia, where malnourishment is common and malaria is often a cause of death, access to a free health clinic will save the lives of hundreds of children and enable them to grow up to become strong and healthy students.
When you make a donation to the African Dream Academy, you are also helping to support the Clinic and supply it with the medicine it needs to combat malaria and other life-threatening illnesses.
There is no better gift than to brighten a child's future.
